In the summer of 1967, two young Massachusetts brothers set off on an improbable journey with their family pet, a Shetland pony named King. The 9- and 11-year-old boys, Tony and Jeff Whittemore, are desperate to visit Expo ‘67, the world’s largest fair in Montreal. When their parents suggest they hitch King to a pony cart to journey the 325-miles to the Expo, the brothers quickly realize they are in for the adventure of a lifetime.
