Overview

The Kenyan tea fields carry contested histories. They are lands where families hold generational wounds and where community remains bound by both loss and determination. When Nairobi journalist Bea Wangondu returns home to investigate the multinational corporation controlling tea fields, she and former plantation resident Mr. Mungai uncover a web of suppressed evidence, buried histories and family secrets that reshape how their community understands its past. Together, they search for justice to heal and restore lands and legacies.

Kikuyu Land Impact Campaign

The land at the center of Kikuyu Land was taken generations ago but the consequences are still unfolding today. Families remain displaced. Livelihoods remain threatened. Accountability remains elusive. Kikuyu Land is not only a film - it’s a call for accountability, protection, and collective action. Our efforts are intentionally focused and community-informed.  Every dollar raised supports advocacy in the field, awareness-building, and work that generates long-term support for the communities featured in Kikuyu Land.
