Leadership, the Presidency and the Pandemic: Jack Watson

Jack Watson — Leadership, the Presidency and the Pandemic: What Lessons Can We Learn From It?

What makes a good president? It’s a question we’re all asking ourselves as the 2020 presidential election draws near, and a question that seems ever-more important as our world faces a pandemic.

It’s something former White House Chief of Staff Jack Watson knows something about, and in this discussion, he’ll provide his on-the-ground perspective from working alongside presidents from both political parties. Watson directed the transition between former President Gerald R. Ford and Jimmy Carter and then from former President Jimmy Carter to Ronald Reagan, also serving as the White House Chief of Staff for former President Jimmy Carter and other roles in the White House.

Watson will speak with longtime Mountainfilm emcee and poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer to offer his perspective on what good leadership looks like, delving into the role our government may need to play in a post-COVID world.
