From Bears Ears to the Arctic Ocean: Our Public Lands Are Under Attack

America’s public lands welcome everyone — hikers, campers, hunters, sightseers and anglers — to enjoy its 640 million acres. But these national treasures and traditional homes of native people are currently under threat as extractive industries backed by legislators and federal agencies make moves to take the land and turn a profit.

Joining this panel on the current state and future of our public lands will be the minds behind Public Trust, a feature film from Patagonia. We’ll hear from director and former Telluride local David Byars, producer Jeremy Rubingh, Bernadette Dementieff from the Gwich'in Steering Committee and Hal Herring, an author, journalist and the subject of Public Trust.
