Yonatan Nir

For over a decade, award-winning filmmaker Yonatan Nir has been telling stories. From epic photojournalist reports, to the critically acclaimed Dolphin Boy (2011) which was acquired by Disney Pictures and screened in over 130 film festivals, Nir has a long history of capturing and portraying the relationship between man and nature. Nir went on to direct and produce My Hero Brother (2016) and The Essential Link (2017). His film Picture of His Life (Mountainfilm 2020), which he co-directed with long-time collaborator Dani Menkin, tells the story of celebrated underwater photographer Amos Nachoum’s quest for an underwater photo of polar bears.
