
Tim Kemple
Tim Kemple spent his childhood climbing, skiing and hiking, and by high school he had discovered photography and video. By age 19, he had his first cover shot in Climbing magazine. Kemple strives to capture perspectives that few people would never see, using creative angles and natural light to shoot awe-inspiring moments. He has worked with The North Face, Dodge Ram, BF Goodrich, Mitsubishi, Farm Credit and Amtrak, and is fluent in virtual reality and 360 content. Kemple is one of the founders and directors at Camp4 Collective, where he thrives helming light and fast film crews. Kemple is the director of The Running Pastor, co-director of The Movement (both at Mountainfilm 2019) and the director of Refuge (Mountainfilm 2020), which follows a climber and immigrant who poses the question: “What does a refugee look like?”
