Taryn Southern

Taryn Southern is a digital anthropologist, storyteller and AI artist whose work explores the intersection of emerging technology and human potential. A cultural anthropology and journalism major with an emphasis on “mind science,” the scope of Southern’s fieldwork is vast. She was also an early content creator for YouTube, accumulating more than 500,000 subscribers. Southern has been a host and correspondent for numerous networks, including Discovery Channel, NBC, MTV, G4, Vh1 and “The Today Show,” using her platform to educate the public on new and emerging ideas. Her writing has been published by Vanity Fair, Fast Company, WIRED, TechCrunch, Business Insider and Forbes. With Elena Gaby, she co-directed I Am Human (Mountainfilm 2020).
