Sofian Khan

Founder of New York-based production house Capital K Pictures, Sofian Khan crashed through social boundaries with his first feature The Dickumentary (2014), a close look at the evolution of the penis throughout time. Khan’s second feature, Gaucho Del Norte (2015) is an immersive documentary follows a Chilean sheepherder through the American West. Sofian’s short work has appeared on Field of Vision, Al Jazeera, PBS, Fusion, The Atlantic and Huffington Post. He is a 2016 MacArthur Documentary Grant recipient for The Interpreters (Mountainfilm 2018), which premiered at Mountainfilm. He was awarded a 2017 Mountainfilm Commitment Grant recipient for An Act of Worship, a documentary about the aftermath of President Trump’s travel ban. He is the director of Do We Belong? (Mountainfilm 2019).
