So Sinopoulos-Lloyd

Sophia (So) Sinopoulos-Lloyd grew up in the northern hardwood forests of central Vermont. Sinopoulos-Lloyd started consciously becoming nature's partner-in-crime when they worked as a seasonal shepherd in college, learning new things about belonging, awareness and community from the animals they tended. Sinopoulos-Lloyd went on to do immersive studies in wilderness survival skills and naturalism at Roots School and Wilderness Awareness School. They also completed an MA focused on relationships between religion and ecology in the Eastern Mediterranean, some of their ancestral lands. With their spouse Pinar, they founded Queer Nature, a queer-run nature education and ancestral skills program that serves the LGBTQ2+ community.
