Simon Platzer

Growing up in Europe, while other kids spent their piggy banks on motorbikes, Simon Platzer bought a camera. In his teens, he made his first film about skateboarding. Platzer, the son of a ski school instructor, always had access to the mountains, which influenced his style of storytelling. He is the director of When the Mountains Were Wild (Mountainfilm 2016).
