Sally Aitken
A director, writer and showrunner of multiple international series, Sally Aitken is not one to shy away from adventurous collaborations. The Emmy-nominated artist has had great success in the documentary film world, with a Camera d’Or-nomination for her feature, David Stratton: A Cinematic Life (2017) and an Australian Directors Guild Award and an Australian Writer’s Award for Best Documentary Series for her two-episode series Streets of Your Town (2016). Most recently, Aitken directed the feature film, Playing With Sharks (Mountainfilm 2021), which chronicles the life of living underwater legend Valerie Taylor, a woman who spent her life swimming with and advocating for sharks.
