Russell O. Bush is a rural Alaskan turned filmmaker currently based in Brooklyn. As a director, cinematographer, and editor he works in narrative fiction, documentary and wildlife filmmaking and recently launched the production company From The Woods with longtime creative partner Annie Bush. His film Vultures of Tibet (Mountainfilm 2013) was nominated for a Student Academy Award and an International Documentary Association Award for Best Short. Vultures has screened at festivals and theaters throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Bush is the director of The Railroader (Mountainfilm 2019).
