Rose Bush

Rose Bush (formerly Russell O. Bush) is a rural Alaskan turned filmmaker currently based in Brooklyn. As a director, cinematographer and producer she works in narrative fiction and documentary. Bush’s film Vultures of Tibet (Mountainfilm 2013) was nominated for an International Documentary Association Award for Best Short and a Student Academy Award. The film screened throughout the United States, Europe and Asia and was regarded by Hitfix.com as "Remarkable depth of interpretation, as anthropological observation gives way to sobering socio-political commentary." She recently directed The Railroader (Mountainfilm 2019), a documentary short film released on National Geographic’s Short Film Showcase as the pilot film for From The Woods.
