Rose Bush (formerly Russell O. Bush) is a rural Alaskan turned filmmaker currently based in Brooklyn. As a director, cinematographer and producer she works in narrative fiction and documentary. Bush’s film Vultures of Tibet (Mountainfilm 2013) was nominated for an International Documentary Association Award for Best Short and a Student Academy Award. The film screened throughout the United States, Europe and Asia and was regarded by as "Remarkable depth of interpretation, as anthropological observation gives way to sobering socio-political commentary." She recently directed The Railroader (Mountainfilm 2019), a documentary short film released on National Geographic’s Short Film Showcase as the pilot film for From The Woods.
