Rob Blair

Rob Blair is a professor emeritus of geology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, where he taught for 28 years. His specialty is the origin and nature of landforms and landscape processes. He initiated the Mountain Studies Institute, a nonprofit since 2002 that is based in Silverton and Durango. He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico (B.S.) and Colorado School of Mines (Ph.D.), as well as a consultant geologist and board member of Mountain Studies Institute. Blair has over 50 publications related to geomorphology and the San Juan Mountains.
