Richard Vevers

With a background in advertising, Richard Vevers brings a new approach to ocean conservation: a belief that creative thinking, effective communication and strong global partnerships are key to solving the threats facing the ocean. Vevers is the founder and CEO of The Ocean Agency, an unconventional nonprofit that uses new technology, media, partnerships and creativity to work at a meaningful speed and scale. Vevers led the only team recording and revealing the third global coral bleaching event — a mission that resulted in Jeff Orlowski’s documentary film Chasing Coral (Mountainfilm 2017), in which Vevers is featured.
