Renan Ozturk is a globally recognized climber, artist and filmmaker known for his dauntless spirit and visual storytelling. Ozturk was awarded the National Geographic Adventurer of the Year under the title of “The Artist” in 2013. Some of his clients include The North Face, Outside Magazine and National Geographic — all which have helped him push his filmmaking to the extremes. His multiple successes with film festivals and worldwide online audiences, along with his videos of climbing expeditions, has helped Ozturk become one of the frontrunners in the outdoor industry. His films include El Sendero Luminoso (Mountainfilm 2014), Down to Nothing (Mountainfilm 2015), Denali's Raven (Mountainfilm 2017), Life Coach and Mothered by Mountains (both Mountainfilm 2018). Alongside Taylor Rees, he co-directed The Ghosts Above (both Mountainfilm 2020) and directed Lost on Everest (Mountainfilm 2020).
