Raul Pachedo

Guitarist and composer Raul Pacheco plays in six-piece LA-based band Ozomatli, which is known for weaving together multicultural sounds like including funk, salsa and reggae. Pacheco has long made music with an eye toward social activism, creating a poignant and meaningful body of music. He also plays in the duo Los Dreamers with Shawn King of DeVotchka. That project was created to produce songs to accompany the 2014 play “Dreaming Sin Fronteras,” which dramatized stories of immigration and American identity.
