Peter Van Eecke

Born in Belgium in 1975, Pieter Van Eecke studied philosophy at Ghent State University and sculpture at Sint-Lucas Brussels. While working and living in South America, he became a filmmaker. Van Eecke’s documentary about the earthquake in Haiti, Goudougoudou (co-directed with Fabrizio Scapin), was broadcast on television in 2013 and featured in several film festivals worldwide. Samuel in the Clouds (Mountainfilm 2017) is his first feature-length documentary.
