Drone pilot and director of photography Pablo Durana was born in Bogotá, Colombia, raised in Montréal, Canada and currently resides in the San Francisco area. He brings three languages, broad cultural awareness and a passion for outdoor adventure to his documentary and commercial work. Durana has covered Afghan women mountaineering expeditions and drug wars in Mexico. He’s followed hippos in Colombia and ivory poaching in Africa. He is director of Adventuring in the Name of Science, director of photography of Queen Maud Land and second unit DP of Ascending Afghanistan (all in Mountainfilm 2019). Durana also worked on Into Twin Galaxies and North of Known (both Mountainfilm 2017).
