Nicolas Teichrob

Nicolas Teichrob is a British Columbia-based artist with a degree in hydrology whose adventure photography and filmmaking have picked up dozens of awards internationally. Teichrob’s projects seek to expand the collective awareness of environmental issues while encouraging outdoor recreation and exploration of our wild places. Visual highlights include the 2013 surf/SUP environmental film Stand as well as Jumbo Wild (Mountainfilm 2015), which depicted a decades-long environmental battle over a proposed ski area in Canada. His most recent work Numinous (Mountainfilm, 2018), has picked up notable awards such as Movie of the Year, Best Post Production, Best Cinematography, and two 2018 Leo Award Nominations in Cinematography and Editing.
