Nada Bakos

  • 2013 — Film Subject

The years-long hunt for Osama bin Laden began with a team of CIA analysts, mostly women, called “The Sisterhood.” Nada Bakos was one of the leading figures in this group. The former CIA analyst was on the team charged with analyzing the relationship between Al Qaeda, Iraq and Sept. 11, and during the war, she became the chief targeting officer following Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. She was also a member of the analytic team that did not find any pre-Iraq War ties between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. She is one of the subjects of Greg Barker’s documentary Manhunt: The Search for Bin Laden (Mountainfilm 2013), an in-depth look at the long search for one of the most notorious men in the world.
