Mimi Armstrong deGruy

Mimi Armstrong deGruy is a Santa Barbara-based documentary filmmaker. Along with her late husband, Mike deGruy, she has produced numerous hours of award-winning television for National Geographic Television, The BBC and other broadcasters. Earning a B.A. from Yale University, Armstrong deGruy’s career began through work with CNN, Turner Broadcasting’s series “Portrait of American” and the PBS series “The Infinite Voyage.” A mother of two, she believes wholeheartedly in the power of community and its ability to affect change, and is an active nonprofit volunteer. She is the director of Diving Deep: The Life and Times of Mike deGruy (Mountainfilm 2019).
