Matty Herriger
Matt Herriger is one of the industries premier high-angle cinematographers and directors. He brings decades of experience to the world of mountain adventure. Herriger knows his subject intimately, having played the skiing field: in the early days ski modeling and in the late-1970s finishing in the top ten in U.S., European and world extreme competitions. Having shot and directed for elite sports producers, including Teton Gravity Research, Warren Miller, NBC Sports, ESPN, FUEL TV and FOX Sports, Herriger specializes in film and HD video format cinematography. His cinematic journey has taken his craft deep into some of our most remote countries and extreme locations. After 10 years of production, Herriger released his vision to the screen, Winter’s Wind (Mountainfilm 2012), a film celebrating the lifestyle of a lifetime ski bum — a story about freedom, being true to oneself and not selling out to the “man.”
