Masaki Sekiguchi

Masaki Sekiguchi had been filming snowboarders and skiers bounding through Japan’s chest-deep snow long before it turned into a popular pow destination in the ski world. Sekiguchi is a producer, director and cinematographer at Ebis Films, which has turned out short, poetic ski films for more than a decade. Sekuguchi has screened three films at Mountainfilm: Presence: 40 Days in Greenland in 2008, Deep/Shinsetsu in 2009 and The Black Line in 2013, a dreamy piece of ski video that pays homage to the pioneering skiing cinematographer Keizo Miura.
