Logan Bockrath

For nearly a decade, Logan Bockrath had his dream job: 250 to 300 days a year on the river, kayaking and shooting video for a rafting company. It was the perfect training for his subsequent career as a self-taught filmmaker whose stories take place on the rivers of the American West. A lover of jazz music, Bockrath founded the production company Thelonious Step, which focuses on stories with soul, rhythm and “just the right amount of dissonance.” His 2015 film 62 Years (Mountainfilm 2016) follows Ken Brower, the son of 20th century environmental movement pioneer and first executive director of the Sierra Club David Brower, as he revisits his childhood trips down the Yampa and Green Rivers.
