Liz Scherffius

Liz Scherffius is a documentary filmmaker and multimedia journalist based in New York City, where she is an associate producer on a PBS American Experience film about consumer safety and the Food and Drug Administration. She previously worked on a documentary series about the economics driving the global drug trade, and while on the BBC digital team she covered civil liberties, immigration and women’s issues. Originally from Bozeman, Montana, Scherffius began her journalism career in South America, later earning a master’s degree at the Columbia School of Journalism. She is the director of This is My Home (Mountainfilm 2019).
