Liz Gomis

Liz Gomis is a French journalist and filmmaker who studied cultural mediation and communication, and audiovisual journalism at the Sorbonne University’s school of communication and journalism in Paris. She is a columnist for Radio Nova and is a member of the Presidential Council for Africa, founded by French President Emmanuel Macron, where she works on the restoration and digitization of African films. Gomis’ documentary series Africa Riding chronicles the rise of skateboarding, cycling and rollerblading as African youth navigate their urban environments on wheels. She joined Aurélien Biette in directing Africa Riding: Karim, Rwanda (Mountainfilm 2021).
