Kelsey Trottier
With a lifelong passion for dance and performing, Telluride dancer Kelsey Trottier contributes to the 2018 Mountainfilm Festival as a stage presenter. She has earned a BFA in interrelated media from the Mass College of Art and Design. Her undergraduate work focused primarily on performance art, stagecraft, post modern dance and shared creative experience. During her final year at MassArt, she headed a multimedia collaborative project between MassArt students and Cambridge’s Dance Complex, with the intent of creating a conduit between two artistic communities to see what would happen. This growing body of work titled Intersections has gained notoriety as a piece of a larger medium known as Social Practice. Growing up, Kelsey’s mother cultivated a need to contribute to the greater good within Kelsey, emphasizing the importance of volunteering and contributing to others in any way she could, which is what led Kelsey to her investment in the Social Practice movement. Kelsey is currently dancing and choreographing as an avid member of Telluride’s eclectic Dance Collective.
