Jon Shenk

Jon Shenk is an Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker and cinematographer. His films have won the Independent Spirit Award and Best Documentary at the Toronto International Film Festival. A member of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences, he has produced dozens of documentaries for PBS, BBC, A&E, Bravo, CBS, NBC and National Geographic. With Bonni Cohen, he co-directed Audrie & Daisy, which is about the impact online bullying and An Inconvenient Sequel (Mountainfilm 2017). Shenk directed and shot The Island President, the story of President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives and his battle to help his country survive rising sea levels. His other films include The Lost Boys Of Sudan and The Beginning, a chronicle of the making of Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace.
