Johnnie Jameson

Johnnie Jameson is a Vietnam veteran and a longtime letter carrier for the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood of Los Angeles. Jameson has run in every Los Angeles marathon since its inauguration in 1986, a feat that qualifies him as a member of the Legacy Runners, along with other athletes who have finished all the races. When people ask him, "Why are you always laughing and singing?" he usually smiles and says to himself, "If you'd been through what I've been through and survived, you'd probably be laughing and singing, too."
