Jim Enote

Jim Enote is a Zuni tribal member, high-altitude farmer, artist and director of the A:shiwi A:wan Museum and Heritage Center in Zuni, New Mexico. Along with being the president of the board of Zuni A:shiwi Publishing and board member of the Grand Canyon Trust, he is the creator of the Zuni Map Art Project, where he works with Zuni artists to reimagine maps through stories of place, heritage and history. He has also contributed to community service projects for four decades, including assignments for UNESCO, National Geographic Society, U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, Secretariat for Water and others. As a lifelong farmer, he has been planting crops for 62 consecutive years.
