Jerome Thelia

Co-founder of the production company Merge, Jerome Thelia has taught film production and post at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan since 2001. Having worked as a director, editor, colorist and visual effects artist for feature films, documentaries and commercials, his portfolio is vast. As Director of Bounce: How the Ball Taught the World to Play (Mountainfilm 2015), he takes a look at the little-known origins of the world’s favorite sports. Removing the layers of scandal and commercialism that have come to define today’s sports world, Bounce reminds us of why, no matter where we are in the world, we love to play ball.
