Jeremiah M. Bogert, Jr.

Jeremiah M. Bogert, Jr. is a photo editor at The New York Times and has more than 25 years of experience producing award-winning visual stories. He received his Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Yale University and his Master’s in Journalism from the University of Missouri. Bogart was the photo assignments editor at The New York Times during the 9/11 terrorist attacks – the paper won two Pulitzer Prizes in photography. While at the Los Angeles Times, he edited a story on victims of gang violence which also won a Pulitzer Prize in 2011. He is the co-director of the film Surf Nation (Mountainfilm 2022 World Premiere), a documentary that tells the story of China's southernmost province where hundreds of young athletes train as part of the Chinese National Surf team.
