Jacob Oster

After fine-tuning his outdoor filmmaking skills at an internship with Camp4 Collective in Salt Lake City, filmmaker Jacob Oster went on to co-found Locals Project, a storytelling agency that specializes in authentic, story-driven experiences in the outdoor and action-sports world. His film Surf Cuba (Mountainfilm 2020) does exactly that, taking a look at the burgeoning Cuban surf community, a group of passionate individuals who choose to focus not on the problem, but the solution. Constantly curious about culture and stories of the human spirit, Oster and his team at Locals Project produce film, photo and design work for brands like The North Face, Black Diamond Equipment and Revo, as well as media outlets like Outside Magazine.
