Gonzalo Guajardo

Originally from Spain, photographer, journalist, and filmmaker Gonzalo Guajardo has spent the last six years in Ethiopia conducting analyses of such paramount events as the first visit from a sitting U.S. president (Barack Obama). Gonzalo discovered at a very young age that he was drawn to film and pursued every avenue he could to immerse himself in the field. Since the age of 13, Guajardo has been traveling the globe studying people, as he believes they are all, in essence, the same, despite different socio-cultural realities. His collection of short films I’ve Seen So Much (2017), How Was My Day (2016), and Misionero (2014) shine light on Ethiopian culture and the struggles that exist in this land of disparity.
