Giridhar Nayak

Giridhar Nayak began his career as a field assistant working on wildlife documentaries, such as Our Planet (2019) for Netflix and Hostile Planet (2019) and the series “Wild Cats of India” for National Geographic. Having earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology in India, Nayak also innovated camera supports for use on the National Geographic shoots. In December 2019, he graduated as a valedictorian with a master's in film production from Full Sail University in Florida. Since then, Nayak has worked on several short films where his roles included producer, director of photography, camera operator, production designer, and others. His most recent film, Way of Life (Mountainfilm 2021), explores the future of fishing in the overfished area of Karnataka, India.
