George Knowles
A Telluride, native, George Knowles has had the distinct honor of producing stories with a varied group of clients including The New York Times, Outside Television, ESPN, Operation Smile, Mizuno, Nike, Monster Energy and the cities of Rapid City, South Dakota, Virginia Beach and Telluride, all while working alongside his friends at creative production companies such as Felt Soul Media and Camp4 Collective. George has won awards such as Most Inspiring from the 5Point Film Festival and multiple accolades for his work with The New York Times. His work has been featured in numerous film festival world tours, including the Banff Mountain Film Festival and Mountainfilm. His short film 14.c (Mountainfilm 2014) profiles the special relationship between rising teen climbing star Kai Lightner and his mom, Connie. He is the director of Melon Kuma (Mountainfilm 2019). Knowles is the director of Powder Snow Hokkaido (Mountainfilm 2022), where he captures Japans deep pow skiing in its purest form.
