George Karbus
Born in the Czech Republic, George Karbus is a wildlife and ocean photographer who is now based on the west coast of Ireland. He funded his first camera 15 years ago by working as a porter in a hotel and has since become one of the premier underwater photographers of marine wildlife, including bottlenose dolphins. His latest work is a happy-go-lucky short film called Wild Child (Mountainfilm 2021), featuring his 9-year-old son as he surfs, skateboards and swims his way around Ireland’s emerald coastline.
