Gabriele Urbonaite
Lithuanian-born Gabriel? Urbonait? is a writer, director and editor based in New York City. Urbonaite, a 2020 Mountainfilm Emerging Filmmaker and 2019 Commitment Grant finalist, received the Silver Crane — a national Lithuanian award — for her short film, The Swimmer (2013). Her recent work, Solastalgia (Mountainfilm 2021) explores one man’s longing for a past life he left behind. Urbonaite is currently pursuing an MFA in screenwriting at Columbia University.
