Gabriel Winer

Designer, photographer and filmmaker Gabriel Winer holds a bachelor’s in cultural anthropology from Yale University, where his research focused on environmental sustainability. He received a master's degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, a graduate school for misfits in the borderlands between art, design and technology. His work on media-altered environments at NYU led to several commissions, including video installations for Knoll International Paris, Archi-Tectonics and Malin + Goetz. Winer’s work focuses on environmental perception and the process of environmental design. Winer is a professor at NYU Engineering in the Integrated Digital Media department, teaching courses focused on experimental still and moving image work.
