Ethel Branch

Ethel Branch is the attorney general of the Navajo Nation, serving as the chief legal officer for the Navajo Nation and providing legal assistance in all matters the Navajo Nation government has an interest in. Branch has spent her career advocating and providing legal assistance for native nations, and has an extensive background in indigenous human rights. She formerly serving as an attorney at Kanji & Katzen, PLLC, a law firm working primarily on legal support for Native tribes and people, and her work as an indigenous human rights attorney in Washington D.C. entailed helping advance the implementation of the U.N. Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in the United States and the Americas. Branch holds a J.D. and Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University.
