Vice president and executive producer at Zero Point Zero Production Inc., Erik Osterholm specializes in adventure, travel and wilderness content and is a veteran of working in hostile environments. Best known for telling stories from hard to reach, remote corners of the globe, the Emmy Award-winning producer has been known to follow climbers as they forge routes from Alaska to Afghanistan. He’s documented stories from within restricted Iran, and captured dangerous Coast Guard rescues in the Bering Sea. He has sailed with scientists to Antarctica and floated down the Congo River in war-torn Sub-Saharan Africa. He was awarded a Heartland Emmy in 2011 for a documentary short focused on remote cataract surgeries, and a 2015 primetime Emmy for a “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown” episode in the Islamic Republic of Iran. His latest feature documentary is Ascending Afghanistan (Mountainfilm 2019).
