Eric Abramson
A photographer since childhood, Eric Abramson converted to moving images in college. After graduating, he combined his love of outdoor recreation with camera skills to make his way as a freelance sports cinematographer. In the early 1990s, he created and directed the Fat Tire Journal series that looked into the emerging world of mountain biking. A professional firefighter and EMT, Abramson moonlighted with a variety of film and music projects for the next dozen years before pursuing film production full time in 2005. He was editor of the documentary film Years In Your Ears...a story of Leftover Salmon, which is about the popular jam band from Boulder (and Telluride), Colorado. Abramson was also a cinematographer for The Cove (Mountainfilm 2009 and 2010), which won the 2010 Oscar for Best Documentary.
