Davy Rothbart

Perhaps best known as the creator/editor/publisher of Found magazine, Davy Rothbart is also a bestselling author, This American Life contributor and Emmy-winning filmmaker. His book of personal essays, My Heart is an Idiot, earned praise from the New Yorker, NPR and The New York Times, among others. His film projects defy categorization: Rothbart has directed documentaries about the punk band Rise Against and a resilient small-town basketball team (Medora), written an article for GQ that became the narrative feature Easier With Practice and was the subject of a feature-length documentary — also titled My Heart is an Idiot. He is the director of 17 Blocks. (Mountainfilm 2019).
