David Darg

David Darg is a humanitarian, Academy Award-nominated filmmaker and co-founder of the media company RYOT. Darg has helped war refugees in Sudan, Kenya and Somalia; given aid in cyclone-devastated Myanmar; overseen the rebuilding of a village in Yao Jin, China, after it was destroyed by an earthquake and directed relief and recovery efforts in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. His films are primarily focused in disaster and conflict zones, and are often used to generate action around urgent causes. They include Baseball in the Time of Cholera (Mountainfilm 2012), The Rider and the Storm (Mountainfilm 2013), Body Team 12 (Mountainfilm 2015), The Rugby Boys of Memphis (Mountainfilm 2017), Fear Us Women (Mountainfilm 2018) and Lazarus (Mountainfilm 2019).
