Dave Chew

From a young age, Dave Chew has embraced adventure. Growing up in the wilds of Australia and exploring the Pacific Ocean as a grom sailor set the tone for the rest of his life. After a stint in Austria as a ski bum, Chew made his way to Telluride as a master boot fitter for Bootdoctors, a beloved local ski shop. Like most people who move to Telluride, Dave fell for everything the mountains had to offer, with rock climbing becoming a driving force of his life. In 2011, Chew founded the Telluride High School Climbing Program, serving as head coach for the next several years. When not pursuing his own lines and routes, Chew guides in Colorado and throughout Europe.
