Corey Rich
For more than two decades, photographer Corey Rich has been propelled by the twin passions of experiencing adventures in big, beautiful places and documenting those exploits with photos. Rich got his start at a newspaper in college and has now covered the globe, shooting everywhere from Papua New Guinea to the Saharan Desert and the American Southwest. He has documented professional athletes, such as Chris Sharma, Eric Jackson and Lisa Anderson, and his photos have appeared in National Geographic Adventure, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times Magazine and other publications. Richs company, Corey Rich Productions, also shoots commercially for such clients as Nike, The North Face and Apple. Richs film, A New Perspective (Mountainfilm 2013), follows the young climbing phenom David Lama and his climbing partner, Peter Ortner, as they attempt to free climb Eternal Flame in Pakistans towering Karakorum Range. He is director of the short film Morning (Mountainfilm 2019).
