Corey McLean

A nonlinear life path has taken Corey McLean from studying finance in college, to traveling the U.S. on a retrofitted school bus, to living on Richard Branson’s private island and touring with some of the biggest musicians in the world. In 2014 he first traveled to Cuba and fell in love with the people and the vibrancy of the country. He came back and within a month convinced his colleagues to return to shoot a feature about surfing in Cuba. That upcoming film, Havana Libre, is in post-production and was a finalist for a Mountainfilm Commitment Grant. McLean is the director of Yojani: A Cuba Skate Story (Mountainfilm 2018).
