Chris Riess

Film director Chris Riess and his wife Amy Hill first met when they were collaborating on a project documenting Gen X folks across the nation. Over the course of their road trip, the two became much more than friends and now continue to work very closely with one another as they create innovative commercials for some of the biggest brands in the world. Riess, a photographer, is obsessed with image, which complements Hill’s fierce passion for filming human interaction. The couple has been working together for over 18 years creating work that provokes thought and sparks conversation. Their award-winning work has allowed them to recently join the collective of noted directors at Los Angeles-based Wondros. For the past year, they have been working on a project about opiate addiction and several other doc/photo projects. They co-directed Hula Girl (Mountainfilm, 2018).
