Chris Alstrin
Colorado filmmaker Chris Alstrin is a longtime climber whose work reflects his passions for photography, film and adventure. Alstrin has documented such athletes as Tommy Caldwell, Guy Lacelle and Mike Anderson on rock, ice, cracks and boulders around the world. His work has taken him from alpine pitches in the Himalayas to the deserts of Namibia and the crack country of Utah, chronicling stories of first ascents and bold projects. He has worked for such clients as Art-teryx, Beal Ropes and Petz. His feature film WideBoyz (Mountainfilm 2013), which was first seen in a teaser form as a part of Sender Films’ Reel Rock (Mountainfilm 2012), follows two off-width-obsessed British climbers as they attempt to ascend the hardest big cracks in the U.S.
